Dancing Ducks recommends that parents and guardians supervise the online activities of their children. Parents should instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses, phone numbers or other personally-identifiable information without permission when using the Internet. We recognize a special obligation to protect personal information obtained from children.
Dancing Ducks is committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). Dancing Ducks does not knowingly collect any personally-identifiable information from children under thirteen (13) years of age unless the collection complies with COPPA. We will advise any children under the age of 13 that they must obtain permission from their parent or guardian before sharing personal information with us.
Upon request, Dancing Ducks will provide a parent or guardian with a description of the information that may have been collected about their child during use of this site. A parent or guardian may have a child's personally-identifiable information deleted or refuse to permit any further collection of such information by Dancing Ducks by contacting us as provided in the "Contacting Dancing Ducks" section below by email, phone or mail.
If we do collect personally-identifiable information from children under the age of 13, we will use that information solely for the internal business purposes of Dancing Ducks or its agents and we will not sell or otherwise distribute such information to third parties. Anytime we collect information from a child under the age of 13, we will not ask them to divulge more information than is needed to participate in the related activity. We will not knowingly allow children under the age of 13 access to any features of the website that would allow them to publicly post or otherwise distribute personally-identifiable information without prior verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, except as set forth in the "Exceptions to Verifiable Parental Consent" section below. Parents and guardians have the right to consent to the website's collection and use of their child's personally-identifiable information, while saying no to any disclosure of the information to third parties.
In the event of any inadvertent submission (e.g., email) to Dancing Ducks by a child under the age of 13, we will not knowingly keep any personally-identifiable information that is included in the submission, if we know that the child is under the age of 13. We will not knowingly post any personally-identifiable information that is inadvertently included in a child's submission to a general audience contribution area if we know that the child is under the age of 13.
